Maasai Joy Children’s Centre

Started in 2006 it has grown to a three room school staffed by three hard working teachers and attended by fifty two eager students. The school serves the formerly nomadic Maasai community in the hills west of Mount Meru and the town of Arusha in Tanzania. I am not trying to save the world. I am helping a small group of very young children and their families.

I am Edward Ernest Kutingala. With the kind advice and financial help of friends who I have met in my work as a guide climbing Mount Kilimanjaro I have begun to fulfill a dream. I have created a pre-primary school to provide a head start in a difficult life for the children of my district, including the many disadvantaged and orphaned.
